You will find our company in the heart of Sumava, 8 km from Vimperk, Prachatice district. It is a continuation of the traditional Šumava sawmills, which were established along watercourses as early as the 17th century. century.

In 1972, the sawmill in Buk, then called the Associated Sawmill Production of the Vimperk Forestry Plant, began producing wooden pallets for export to the former GDR. The production has proven itself and has become a production priority. After 1989, the original owner, Mr. Vendelín Vlk, was given the opportunity to buy the sawmill and in 1994 he and his son Ing. Vladimír Vlk, with his son Vladimír Vlk, the company Dřevo-palety-Vlk, s.r.o. The next generation continues in the footsteps and other "Vlčáci" have been strengthened.
